Mr. Adnan Mohammed AL-Mubarak

Mr. Adnan Al-Mubarak was appointed as General Manager of Black Cat Engineering & Construction in June 2007. He has an extensive experience of 12 years at Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Ltd (QATARGAS) and another 12 years at Abu-Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), UAE seconded to Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Limited (GASCO), UAE. He received his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK in 1978, where he majored in Applied Energy. He graduated in B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Baghdad, Iraq in 1972.

With Mr. Mubarak at the helm, the company has undergone a dramatic growth increasing yearly sales nearly tenfold. His far-sighted vision and keen involvement combined with the company's core abilities of in-house engineering and construction has today helped build up an impressive blue-chip clientele and transformed BCEC into one of the Leading EPIC Contractors in Qatar.

While at QatarGas, Mr.Mubarak assumed the position of Head of Engineering Services, where he worked with a USD 5 billion Operating Group for Qatar's North Field Gas Project and directed the implementation of major capital engineering projects for the optimization of plant and field systems. He re-structured the company's Capital Operating Budget resulting in budget reduction of USD 7 million in the first year and USD 3 million in the next. He received 4 Company Awards for exceptional achievements.

At GASCO, Mr.Mubarak took on a myriad of managerial and supervisory roles including the Contracts Administration Superintendent, Engineering Superintendent and the Head of Planning Section and was a major contributor to the company's continually progressing profitability and productivity.

In addition to his formal education, he has regularly undertaken a wide variety of management and technical courses which have enabled him to identify opportunities and pursue them from concept to implementation.
