Mr. Fouad Skafi

Mr.Skafi has over 20 years of experience with BCEC in Operations/Construction Management of various EPIC projects for the Oil & Gas, Chemical and Fertilizer Industry. This includes multi-discipline fields i.e. civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.

Mr.Skafi started his career with BCEC back in 1989 as young site engineer with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Arizona State University. He gradually worked his way up to the ranks of BCEC through his hard work, dedication and commitment.

As the Operations Manager, Mr.Skafi's involvement in each project commences from marketing, tendering and project management to commissioning, project close-out and handover.

Mr.Skafi has successfully managed 15 projects simultaneously with a combined value exceeding QR 1 billion, with various clients such as QP, RasGas, QatarGas, Q.Chem and Gasal.

While assuming the role of Construction Manager, Mr.Skafi has successfully led a team of more than 50 department heads, engineers, supervisors and other related personnel. Mr.Skafi was the focal person for all construction-related activities and inter-departmental co-ordination.

He has obtained important relevant certifications and training courses in ISO 9000 awareness, internal auditors training course (ISO 9000:2000) and FIDIC conditions of contract and claims management. Mr.Skafi's other important achievement for BCEC were numerous to include OHSAS accreditation and the development procedures.
